Queens, New York hip hop group formed in 1985 by Q-Tip, Phife Dawg, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, and Jarobi White, central to the Native Tongues collective and to jazz-influenced "golden age" hip hop. Their 1990 debut People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm included "Can I Kick It?"
