Bob Marley & The Wailers
Jamaican group that grew out of the 1963 Kingston vocal trio of Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Bunny Wailer, and became reggae's first genuinely international act after Tosh and Wailer departed in 1974 and the I Threes took over the harmonies. Marley died of cancer in 1981 at 36.
