Engelbert Humperdinck

British easy-listening balladeer (born Arnold George Dorsey, 1936) whose run of orchestral pop hits -- "Release Me," "The Last Waltz," "After the Lovin'" -- made him a fixture of adult-contemporary radio from the late 1960s onward. At 90, he released Faithfully (2026), a full album of rock classics reworked with orchestra and strings, several of them featuring the original songwriters and session players as guests.
