British heavy metal band. "The Trooper," written by bassist Steve Harris and drawn from Tennyson's poem about the Charge of the Light Brigade, was the second single from 1983's Piece of Mind, the first album with drummer Nicko McBrain. A 2026 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Performer inductee.
