San Francisco arena-rock band whose classic lineup, fronted by Steve Perry with Jonathan Cain on keyboards, produced a run of soft-rock radio staples in the early-to-mid 1980s. Cain wrote "Faithfully," from 1983's Frontiers, about the strain touring puts on a relationship -- reportedly inspired by a note he wrote his own wife on a tour bus.
