Ozzy Osbourne
Birmingham-born singer who fronted Black Sabbath from 1968, was fired in 1979, and rebuilt immediately as a solo act around a succession of young guitarists — starting with Randy Rhoads on 1980's Blizzard of Ozz. Died in July 2025, weeks after a farewell Black Sabbath reunion show in his home city.
