Cuban-born salsa singer. "La Vida Es un Carnaval," written by Argentine composer Victor Daniel and released in 1998 from Mi Vida Es Cantar, became one of her signature songs. A 2026 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Early Influence honoree.
