French duo Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, who spent most of a 28-year career inside robot helmets and released only four studio albums — from 1997's Homework, which helped define French house, to 2013's Random Access Memories, which spent its budget on session musicians instead of samples. Announced their split in February 2021.
